Who we are

ASNsory Crew is a stay and play group for children with additional support needs, between the ages of 2-16 and is based in South Lanarkshire but welcomes kids from all nearby areas.

The team is a small group of women who all directly care for children with additional support needs. We have all struggled with the lack of facilities and ASN clubs available for our children and know there are many families that feel the same.

We decided to take a leap and started an inclusive club for our own… and thus, ASNsory Crew was born!

ASNsory Crew has grown from strength to strength since its opening in January 2025. Our little club provides a safe and inclusive place for all ASN children to play and be their unique selves. The club provides the children with the same opportunities to play and socialise as any other kids do.

  • Testimonials

When you have a child with ASN, there are many obstacles and a lot of grief/stress/anxiety involved that other parents with typical children do not have and, with the best will in the world, cannot understand.

ASNsory crew, Kirsten and all the other adults involved in the setting up and running of this amazing network have achieved more support, play sessions and advice than I have received in the last 5 years. And this has been done in only a few months.

I have no doubt this group will provide a safe, open and nurturing environment for myself aswell as my child. The ease and inclusion offered at the sessions has been amazing and I'm sure this will continue to grow and adapt as required in the future.

This group was started by mothers, carers, advocates, and people who understand this journey and the turmoil alongside the wins. It is a vital support network for both its children and adults who are navigating a mainstream world for our ASN children. It feels incredibly friendly and, regardless of the challenges faced by any family, is a safe and non-judgmental space where help and advice are available.

  • Jayden has become so comfortable at club and runs right in and loves playing on the bouncy castle, the spinning chair, soft play equipment, and don’t forget the roll coaster and sensory room as a very nervous parent myself who is also possibly autistic i found it hard to find places who don’t judge Jayden for how all over the place he is or if he hurt another child my mistake I felt like I had to apologies to them or feeling like you can relax as you have to be right there at all time Jayden also was a victim to bullying a lot and I had to pull him out of many wee clubs because he can’t talk some kids would be really cruel since coming to the group I felt myself included more relaxed and able to now sit down and just watch him I am still getting used to this and at times have ran for my life to try and safe another child before Jayden knocks they flying to be meet with the other caregiver and then saying it okay there both aware of each other no sorry needed this I still find strange the support I have received in the small time being at this group is something I can’t explain having people who just get it is like a celebration as sadly not everyone gets it you have to be living it to understand it I couldn’t imagine our life’s without this wee group now the difference in Jayden after a session is like magic he’s exhausted and has even sleep though the night after one which for the boy who doesn’t like to sleep this is an achievement in a half! - Jayden’s Mum

  • I have been attending ASNsory crew on a Sunday since they opened their doors. My child is 5 on 18/05/2020 and I have struggled with social integration due to his care needs. I have found a place for my child where we feel comfortable and included. The staff have supported both my child and I in difficult and challenging circumstances. The support I get has helped my wellbeing. My child loves to go and the staff ensure he is safe and has his needs met. We would love to see this service continue in its own premises offering further support to families of children with additional needs where we all are continued to be supported and included.

  • ASNsory Crew has been a lifeline for both myself and my son. We have been on our autism journey for four years now and for the last few months I have felt more seen and heard by a group of special mothers than I sometimes do my own family. I lately had been struggling with my mental health and with help from everyone at our group I was able to pull myself back together and see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I would recommend ASNsory Crew to any additional needs family that are struggling to feel like they belong. My son runs into club happily every Sunday and is even making friends! My circle has become very small since autism came into our life’s but it doesn’t feel so small now so thank you ASNsory crew for giving my life meaning again and for just loving my son for who he is. We are forever grateful.

  • Myself and my two boys have attended the asnsory crew club from the start and I feel it is a brilliant and well needed resource for children with additional support needs and support for the parent/ carer also. It allows both my boys to be themselves in a safe and socialising environment, engage with other children and experience play with fantastic toys and equipment. The staff who run the club are so friendly and easy to chat too and cant do enough for you. Parent/carers can also get to chat to other parents who are experiencing the same journey raising a child with additional needs. My two boys love attending the club and has made such a difference to there well being.

thanks for all you do xxx

  • As a mum to Matthew, who has complex additional needs, and Arthur, who doesn’t, finding spaces where both my boys are equally welcomed and understood has been incredibly rare — until we found ASNsory Crew.

From the moment we first walked through the doors, we were met with warmth, patience, and zero judgment. Matthew can just be himself here whether that means playing quietly in a corner, exploring sensory toys, or bouncing with excitement— it’s all accepted and embraced. And Arthur, although not ASN, is always made to feel included and part of the group, which means the world to us as a family.

The setup is safe, calming, and thoughtfully designed to meet our kids where they’re at. But what makes it truly special are the people behind it — the other parents and carers who run it with such heart. There’s always a wee drink, a friendly face, and a real sense of community. Being able to have a conversation with someone who genuinely understands the chaos and the beauty of ASN life… that’s priceless.

ASNsory Crew isn’t just a play session — it’s a pocket of belonging for families like ours. We’re so grateful to be part of it.

  • I want to share how much ASNsory has helped my son and me. It has given us a welcoming and inclusive space where my son feels safe to be himself. He is supported, understood, and encouraged, which has made a huge difference in his confidence and happiness.

ASNsory also helps parents like me. It’s a place of understanding, where we can find guidance, reassurance, and connect with others who truly get what we’re going through.

I am incredibly grateful for ASNsory. The support they provide to families is amazing, and I hope they continue to help many more in the future.
